This is the logo and brand name of the fly fishing rod that I designed. Blacktail is named after a fish caught on fly, found in saltwater in South Africa.
Fly fishing is an angling method in which an artificial "fly" is used to catch fish. The fly is cast using a fly rod, reel, and specialised weighted line. Casting a nearly weightless fly requires casting techniques significantly different from other forms of casting. And that is what makes the fly reel that I designed more interesting! This fishing reel is a gadget which retracts allowing for an easier fly fishing experience. It is a cylindrical device attached to the fishing rod. This reel aids in casting for distance, accuracy and most importantly, retrieving line in a fast and easy way.
